From 1970 onwards, this Diploma was known as a Diploma in Library and Information Studies. From 1947, the School also awarded a Diploma in Archive Administration. From 1966, the School also awarded an Master of Arts (MA), Master of Philosophy (MPhil) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Librarianship or Archives.
